PlanetMark is a leading sustainability certification and net zero provider, dedicated to driving positive environmental change since 2013. Their mission is to educate, support, and inspire businesses to reduce carbon emissions, improve operational efficiencies, and transition towards a net zero future.
At LeisureGrow, we are proud to be PlanetMark certified. Through this partnership, we support environmental initiatives such as Cool Earth, which protects endangered rainforests, and the Eden Project, an educational charity fostering connections between people and the natural world.
EcoCore: A Game-Changing Sustainability Initiative
Dan Revell’s nomination for the Sustainability Game-Changer Award recognizes his significant contributions to sustainability in the Outdoor Living industry. His forward-thinking approach led to the development of EcoCore, an eco-friendly innovation within our garden furniture range.
Our cushions now feature EcoCore, a responsibly sourced filling made from recycled plastic bottles, offering both comfort and sustainability. Since its launch, this initiative has resulted in the recycling of an incredible 30 million plastic bottles in just three years—a milestone that has had a lasting impact on our business, trade customers, and consumers alike.
Inspiring Change Across Our Brands
EcoCore’s success has sparked a company-wide commitment to sustainability. Across our six brands, we continue exploring ways to prioritize eco-conscious practices. Our sister company, Petface, was inspired to create an entire range of pet toys and beds made from recycled bottles, with each pet bed repurposing approximately 45–62 plastic bottles.
Additionally, EcoCore played a key role in motivating us to pursue PlanetMark certification, pushing us to become more mindful of our overall carbon footprint.
